Allen Iverson 38pts vs Vince Carter the Raptors NBA 00/01
Description:
It was the end of the road for the Philadelphia 76ers. The 76ers' franchise-record 13-game road winning streak came to an end with a 96-89 loss to the Toronto Raptors, who overcame an injury to Vince Carter and got 22 points from rookie Morris Peterson. Philadelphia had not lost on the road since December 5 against the Los Angeles Lakers. It eclipsed the previous club mark of 11 and was within three of the NBA record set by the 1971-72 Los Angeles Lakers. "You aren't going to win every game," Sixers All-Star guard Allen Iverson said. "We just didn't want it to end tonight." The Sixers appeared to get a break when Carter sat down with a strained left knee just four minutes into the game. But they blew a 13-point first-half lead and seemed to tire down the stretch, missing key free throws and jumpers. "I didn't use my bench very good," Sixers coach Larry Brown said. "I didn't think my guys were tired. We missed some free throws but I don't think that was the reason." Peterson matched his season high as he picked up the slack for Carter, who went out with the same injury that forced him to miss five games earlier this season. "I thought we displayed great character tonight, especially with Vince going down," Raptors coach Lenny Wilkens said. "After the half, we tightened up the defense and got much better ball movement." Reserves Dell Curry and Alvin Williams also stepped up. Curry scored a season-high 17 points and Williams added 16 as Toronto became the first team to beat ...

Lin - Toronto 2012
Description:
14 FEB 2012 - The clock was running down ? on the game, on the Knicks and on a mystical streak that was teetering on the edge of disappointment. The seconds kept disappearing until Jeremy Lin stopped his dribble, pulled up and launched another miracle. The 3-point shot swished with a half-second remaining Tuesday night, lifting the Knicks to a 90-87 victory over the Toronto Raptors and setting off pandemonium at Air Canada Centre, where fans momentarily adopted the NBA's newest star as their own. Some 20000 Canadians had just witnessed a growing legend. The shot completed a furious comeback from a 17-point deficit and extended the Knicks' Lin-inspired winning streak to six, with no sign of abating. "I'm just glad it went like this, so we could calm the 'Linsanity' down a little bit," Coach Mike D'Antoni said. There is little chance of that happening. Lin scored 27 points ? his sixth straight game with at least 20 ? and handed out 11 assists. He forced some shots, committed 8 turnovers and struggled to contain Jose Calderon (25 points). Yet the game ended as so many have since Lin became the Knicks' unlikely star: with giddy celebration. "It's pretty amazing what he's doing, man," said Amar'e Stoudemire, who rejoined the team after a weeklong sabbatical following his brother's death. "I can't really explain it." Of all the thrilling moments Lin has had since becoming the Knicks' point guard 11 days ago, this might have been the most unlikely. The Knicks (14-15) did not ...

Following O'Neal's departure Bryant became the cornerstone of the Los Angeles Lakers franchise. He led the NBA in scoring during the 2005--06 and 2006--07 seasons, setting numerous scoring records in the process. Old School Dynasty: NBA Live 08 ps2 Round 2 Game 1
Description:
After shocking the world and stunning the #1 seeded Toronto Raptors, the Hawks were poised to make even more noise. In a remarkable turn of events, though, every lower seed in the Eastern Conference advanced to the 2nd round, including my Hawks. What that meant was that the next opponents, the Detroit Pistons, had become the new #1 seed, when in reality, they were the #5 seed. How would the series between the 8 and 5 seed turn out. Let's find out. Oh, and just letting y'all know, I won't be recording every game of the 08-09 regular season, because I fear I would grow tired of it and the series would seem repetetive. I'll only be recording the big games.

LOL Allen Iverson 52pts vs Vince Carter Raptors 00/01 NBA Playoffs Game 5 *MVP Presentation
Description:
www.50inchvertical.com - Start jumping, crossing over and dunking like Kobe Bryant and the other real NBA pros. It's not "magic" but it will help you gain 10-15 inches on your vertical jump in a couple of weeks. If you play basketball and you want to get better or start dunking, you have to at LEAST go take a look at it. Any questions? On the night he received the NBA Most Valuable Player trophy, Allen Iverson removed all doubt about his importance to the Philadelphia 76ers, scoring 52 points and setting a team mark for 3-pointers in a 121-88 victory over the Toronto Raptors. A Herculean effort from the smallest MVP in league history gave the 76ers a 3-2 series lead and moved them within one win of their first trip to the Eastern Conference finals in 16 years. It was the 6-foot Iverson's second 50-point game of the series. "The Answer" fell two points shy of his Game Two total as he joined Michael Jordan in very exclusive company and silenced Raptors forward Charles Oakley. After Iverson struggled in Game Three, Oakley said the superstar guard would not score 50 again. As he had all season, Iverson made believers out of those who have doubted his ability to carry a team on his slender shoulders. "I would never make a comment like that because I don't know what a person is capable of doing," Iverson said. "Maybe they were trying to boost their team up or get in my head or something." "He showed why he's an MVP and showed why he deserved it," Raptors superstar Vince Carter ...
