Toronto Raptors Roster Report 2009-12-14

Toronto Raptors Roster Report 2009-12-14ROTATION: Starters -- Point guard Jarrett Jack, Shooting guard DeMar DeRozan, Small forward Hedo Turkoglu, Power forward Chris Bosh, Center Andrea Bargnani. Bench -- Guard Marcus Banks, Centre Rasho Nesterovic, Forward Sonny Weems, Forward/Center Amir Johnson, Forward Pops Mensah-Bonsu, Forward/Guard Antoine Wright, Guard Marco Belinelli.

PLAYER NOTES:

--F Sonny Weems has been little more than an afterthought for the Raptors this season. But needing a spark with the second unit, the Raptors made Weems the first guy off the bench on Sunday and he responded with 11 points and four rebounds in a season-high 29 minutes.

--G Jarrett Jack seems okay with an increased workload. In the absence of injured starter Jose Calderon, Jack's time is being stretched out. He played 38 minutes Sunday against Houston and responded. Not only did he have 17 points, he provided eight assists and a team-high eight rebounds. Toronto's running a few new sets offensively to ease his responsibilities.

--F Pops Mensah-Bonsu, who was picked by Toronto earlier this season after being waived Houston, played a season-high nine minutes with two points, three rebounds, three fouls and two turnovers against his old team.

MEDICAL WATCH:

--G Jose Calderon (left hip) is out. He's listed as day-to-day but did not travel with the team for games in Miami on Tuesday and Orlando on Wednesday.

--F Reggie Evans (sprained left foot) has been out all season. A return date is unknown.
