Toronto Raptors Roster Report 2009-12-13

Toronto Raptors Roster Report 2009-12-13ROTATION: Starters -- Point guard Jarrett Jack, Shooting guard DeMar DeRozan, Small forward Hedo Turkoglu, Power forward Chris Bosh, Center Andrea Bargnani. Bench -- Guard Jose Calderon, Forward Sonny Weems, Forward/Center Amir Johnson, Forward Pops Mensah-Bonsu, Forward Antoine Wright, Guard Marco Belinelli.

PLAYER NOTES:

--G Jose Calderon, returning from a sore left hip that kept him out of two games, lasted just 7:20 of Toronto's 111-89 loss the Atlanta Hawks before the injury flared up. He was at the hospital getting further testing by the time the game ended and coach Jay Triano didn't sound optimistic about how soon he'd be back on the floor.

"I haven't talked to anybody yet but I would speculate yes," Triano said when asked if it was a longer-term injury now.

--F Hedo Turkoglu, roundly criticized for some desultory play of late, had 12 points, seven rebounds and eight assists in 34 minutes against Atlanta on Friday, his most productive game in the last six.

--G DeMar DeRozan is finding his acclimation to the NBA is far tougher now, even if he's played 25 games in league. Now it's outside issues that are hurting him. Literally. The temperature in Toronto plummeted to the teens with a wind chill of below zero and the 20-year-old native of Los Angeles was stunned.

"Oh, God, man," he said. "It hurt to step outside."

Of course, DeRozan admitted to driving from the underground parking lot of his home to the underground parking lot of the Air Canada Centre and spending less than a minute actually outside.

"That's enough," he said.

MEDICAL WATCH:

--F Reggie Evans (sprained left foot) has been out all season. A return date is unknown.
