Toronto Raptors Roster Report 2009-12-08

Toronto Raptors Roster Report 2009-12-08ROTATION: Starters -- Point guard Jose Calderon, Shooting guard DeMar DeRozan, Small forward Hedo Turkoglu, Power forward Chris Bosh, Center Andrea Bargnani. Bench -- Guard Jarrett Jack, Forward Sonny Weems, Forward-Center Amir Johnson, Forward Pops Mensah-Bonsu, Forward-guard Antoine Wright, Guard Marco Belinelli, Center Rasho Nesterovic.

PLAYER NOTES:

--G DeMar DeRozan had all 11 of his points in the first quarter at Chicago on Saturday, and five of them came on free throws. It was the most active he's been attacking the basket in weeks and something the coaches want more of. "With players out there like Jose (Calderon), Chris (Bosh), Turk (Hedo Turkoglu), a lot of stuff comes easy, like wide open shots. I was settling for shots too much," he said.

--C Chris Bosh was economical with his effort Saturday against Chicago. He played just 22 minutes -- the second fewest he's played in any game this season -- but managed to get 25 points and grab 12 rebounds in that time.

--C Rasho Nesterovic isn't ever going to play very much for the Raptors, but he's ready when called upon. The veteran had 12 points in 20 minutes of an easy win over Chicago. It was only the second time this year he's played that many minutes in a game.

MEDICAL WATCH:

--F Reggie Evans (sprained left foot) has been out all season. A return date is unknown.
