Toronto Raptors Roster Report 2009-11-15

Toronto Raptors Roster Report 2009-11-15ROTATION: Starters -- Point guard Jose Calderon, Shooting guard DeMar DeRozan, Small forward Hedo Turkoglu, Power forward Chris Bosh, Center Andrea Bargnani. Bench -- Guard Jarrett Jack, Forward Antoine Wright, Guard Marco Belinelli, Forward Amir Johnson, Center Rasho Nesterovic.

PLAYER NOTES:

--G/F Antoine Wright is still growing into his role of coming off the bench after being a starter for 53 games in Dallas last season. He's averaging about 20 minutes, six points and three rebounds a game as he gets more comfortable.

"You have to tweak your mind a little bit after seeing what the team needs out there. Trying to carry it out isn't always easy," he said.

--G Jose Calderon had to go get a couple of stitches on cut over his left eye after being smacked by Sebastian Telfair of the Clippers. But it didn't affect Calderon's play as he made a jumper on the next possession as part of a 15-point second half against Los Angeles.

--G DeMar DeRozan had a tough debut in front of the home folks. Playing as an NBAer for the first time in his native Los Angeles, DeRozan had just two points in 11 minutes and looked out of sync all night.

"You could see his jumper had about three extra feet on it," said coach Jay Triano.

MEDICAL WATCH:

--F Reggie Evans (sprained left foot) missed the last two weeks of the pre-season and remains on the shelf. A return date is unknown.
