Toronto Raptors Roster Report 2009-11-01

Toronto Raptors Roster Report 2009-11-01ROTATION: Starters -- Point guard Jose Calderon, Shooting guard DeMar DeRozan, Small forward Hedo Turkoglu, Power forward Chris Bosh, Center Andrea Bargnani. Bench -- Guard Jarrett Jack, Forward Antoine Wright, Guard Marco Belinelli, Forward Amir Johnson, Center Rasho Nesterovic.

PLAYER NOTES:

--G Marco Belinelli had an option for the 2010-11 season picked up by the Raptors this week. The 23-year-old was obtained in the summer from Golden State and the Raptors have been enamored of his skills for a couple of years.

"He's an outside threat, he can stretch the defense for us, he can handle the ball and create for others. I like a lot of his game and I'm more than excited that we've picked up his option," coach Jay Triano said.

--G Quincy Douby is on pins and needles. His contract is not fully guaranteed and the Raptors have until Sunday to extend the guarantee for two more months before another calendar threshold arrives. General manager Bryan Colangelo hasn't given an indication either way and the team could conceivably save about $200,000 and create a roster spot by waiving the little-used guard.

--F/C Andrea Bargnani, who blitzed the Cleveland Cavaliers for 28 points in the season opening game, when scoreless for three quarters and shot just 4-for-12 from the field in a 12-point effort in Game 2.

MEDICAL WATCH:

--F Reggie Evans (sprained left foot) missed the last two weeks of the preseason and remains on crutches. A return date is unknown.

--F Sonny Weems (sore left foot) did not travel to Memphis for Friday's game and is listed as day-to-day.
