Toronto Raptors Roster Report 2008-04-01

Toronto Raptors Roster Report 2008-04-01
ROTATION: Starters -- Point guard T.J. Ford, Shooting guard Anthony Parker, Small forward Jamario Moon, Power forward Chris Bosh, Center Rasho Nesterovic. Bench -- Center Andrea Bargnani, Forward/Guard Carlos Delfino, Guard Jose Calderon, Center Primoz Brezec, Forward-Center Kris Humphries, Forward Jason Kapono, Forward Linton Johnson.

PLAYER NOTES:

--G Darrick Martin, put on waivers late last week, is expected to be hired as an assistant coach or basketball consultant by the Raptors when he clears waivers on Tuesday. The veteran has served as a de facto assistant while spending most of this season on the inactive list.

--F Jason Kapono has four three-point field goals in his last 10 games, hardly the kind of production the Raptors want from the league leader in three-point percentage. They'd also prefer that PF Chris Bosh not have as many made three-pointers as Kapono over the same time period.

--F Jamario Moon's greatest weakness this season has been his unwillingness to attack the basket despite his outstanding athleticism. In 17 March games, he shot just 17 free throws.
