Toronto Raptors Roster Report 2008-11-06

Toronto Raptors Roster Report 2008-11-06
ROTATION: Starters -- Point guard Jose Calderon, shooting guard Anthony Parker, small forward Jamario Moon, power forward Chris Bosh, center Jermaine O'Neal. Bench -- Forward/center Andrea Bargnani, forward Jason Kapono, forward Joey Graham, guard Roko Ukic, guard Will Solomon, guard/forward Hassan Adams.

PLAYER NOTES:

--F Chris Bosh is sure to be one of the more coveted free agents if he exercises an opt-out in his contract and goes on the market in 2010, joining the likes of LeBron James and Dwyane Wade in the most sought-after group of free agents perhaps in NBA history.

Bosh knows his name will be linked to whatever team is trying to clear cap space for that summer but he isn't thinking that far ahead.

"I just stay focused on what I'm doing," he said. "If I get too far ahead, I'm not going to do well and then they're not going to want me. No one will. I just try to stay grounded in what I do right now and it's been working out for me."

--G Jose Calderon set a dubious career high with six turnovers in a weekend win in Milwaukee and now has (8) for the season. He averaged just two per game playing all 82 games last season.

--G Anthony Parker is among the league leaders in steals, averaging more than three per game this season. He's had (eight) in his last three games.

MEDICAL WATCH:

--C Nathan Jawai (cardiac issue) has yet to take part in so much as a workout after he was found to have some kind of unspecified cardiac problem in pre-training camp testing. It's unclear when he will be able to play.
