ROTATION: Starters -- Point guard Jose Calderon, Shooting guard Anthony Parker, Small forward Jamario Moon, Power forward Chris Bosh, Center Jermaine O'Neal. Bench -- Forward-Center Andrea Bargnani, Forward Jason Kapono, Forward Joey Graham, Guard Roko Ukic.
PLAYER NOTES: --SF Jamario Moon was back in the starting lineup to begin the regular season after coming off the bench for the final three pre-season games. The 28-year-old had been unimpressive early in the exhibition season, not providing the kind of energy and rebounding the team had come to expect.
"The last week of practice, he started doing some of the things we wanted him to do," said coach Sam Mitchell.
--F Jason Kapono is not known for his defensive prowess nor has he ever been lauded for his quickness but he found himself checking guards Willie Green and Louis Williams at times in Wednesday's season-opening victory over Philadelphia.
--C-F Kris Humphries, who drew the ire of coach Sam Mitchell in the preseason for trying to do too much on offense instead of simply concentrating on defending and rebounding, seems to be the odd man out of the rotation.
Mitchell used nine of the 10 players available in the season-opening win in Philadelphia and Humphries was the only DNP-CD.
MEDICAL WATCH:
--G Hassan Adams (strained right shoulder) did not travel with the team for the opening game in Philadelphia and is not expected back to practice until the weekend at the earliest. He was injured in a collision with a teammate during practice.
--G Will Solomon (strained hamstring) was not in Philadelphia for opening night and is being listed as day-to-day. He hasn't practiced or played in two weeks.
--C Nathan Jawai (cardiac issue) has yet to take part in so much as a workout after he was found to have some kind of unspecified cardiac problem in pre-training camp testing. It's unclear when he will be able to play.
