These are dangerous times for the Raptors, who seem to be a team on the verge of turmoil. They were clobbered in Atlanta in the middle of the week, but coach Jay Triano, mindful of doing anything rash that he'd eventually regret, did nothing to change the rotation or the starting lineup. The easy thing to do would have been to do something; he didn't, and the team responded with two consecutive wins.
"I don't know if we could have placed blame on any one individual. (It would have been) change for the sake of making change, and first quarters have been very good for us. Guys have got off to good starts, and if that doesn't happen, we'll be quicker with the trigger," he said.
That's a good attitude from a rookie coach who doesn't have the longest or most lucrative contract in the league and a guy handling a team that was scuffling.
But things may have turned. After back-to-back road wins, Toronto gets the struggling Timberwolves at home on Tuesday and travels to Milwaukee on Wednesday, giving them a chance to really put together a winning streak.
RAPTORS 110, BULLS 78: Blitzing Chicago with a 37-16 first quarter, Toronto won for the second straight night on the road. Chris Bosh had 25 points and 12 rebounds to lead the Raptors, who kept the throttle down and turned the entire fourth quarter into garbage time. Marco Belineili added 15 points off the bench for the Raptors.
