The Toronto Raptors have to keep meeting like this. Coach Jay Triano called a team meeting Friday morning, and the Raptors went out that night and ended their five-game losing streak with an overtime win over the Washington Wizards. On the road, no less. Just three nights earlier, Washington had defeated the Raptors 106-102 in Toronto.
"No matter what happened (Friday), we have to be satisfied how we stuck together," Raptors forward Chris Bosh said. "The bench was into it. Everybody was into it. We have to do that for the rest of the season if we want to be successful."
The Raptors also need to tighten up their defense. They've allowed more than 100 points in 12 straight games, although the Wizards needed overtime to go over the century mark.
RAPTORS 109, WIZARDS 107 (OT): Hedo Turkoglu hit a game-winning jumper with 8.1 seconds left in overtime Friday night. Washington's Gilbert Arenas, who scored a game-high 34 points, had tied the game 107-107, draining a three-point shot with 30 seconds remaining.
