Toronto Raptors Getting Inside 2009-11-28

Toronto Raptors Getting Inside 2009-11-28At least one Raptor isn't too happy with the way his team prepares for games -- Antoine Wright has publicly called out his teammates. The newly acquired swingman chided his teammates for such things as joking around and eating in the locker room immediately before games, a public criticism that he says he's already dealt with internally.

And while it's never really good to air private grievances publicly -- coaches and teammates much prefer to keep that kind of stuff in-house -- that Wright went public with his comments speaks to the seriousness he believes the issue deserves.

He did not name names, but with the Raptors reeling from a series of disappointing efforts and now just 7-10 on the season heading into a Sunday home game with the powerful Phoenix Suns, any break in team chemistry has to be seen as a troubling sign.

Facing the Suns will be interesting, no matter the team's frame of mind. The teams met two weeks ago in Phoenix and the Raptors were able to get the game at a manageable pace and lost by one when Hedo Turkoglu missed a shot at the buzzer. If they have any chance on Sunday, it's again to get the game at a relatively pedestrian pace and hope a suddenly-struggling offense comes around.

CELTICS 116, RAPTORS 103: Toronto held a one-point lead at halftime but a horrid third quarter did them in as the Raptors have now lost four straight road games. Getting outscored 33-17 in the third quarter was their undoing as the team's offense simply stopped functioning smoothly in the face of Boston's defense. Chris Bosh led Toronto with 20 points and 13 rebounds, while Hedo Turkoglu also poured in 20.
