The Raptors have been an entertaining offensive team so far in the young NBA season, averaging almost 110 points per game. They've also been one of the weakest defensive teams as well, and that makes their next game one of the most anticipated of the season by fans who like baskets rather than stops. As they continue a four-game pilgrimage out West, the Raptors arrive in Phoenix for a Sunday game against one of the most powerful offenses in the league.
Given Toronto's propensity for giving up points as easily as it scores them, the game could get crazy. And if history holds, it won't work out in Toronto's favor.
The Raptors have lost 10 straight against Phoenix and have never beaten the Suns when Canada's favorite basketball player, Steve Nash, has been in the lineup. Given the way the two teams are going this season, Toronto being regularly scorched on defense and Phoenix off to a 7-2 start, there's no real reason to think that trend will be changed.
RAPTORS 104, CLIPPERS 89: Marco Belinelli provided a spark off the bench with 15 points and Jose Calderon found his shooting stroke in a 15-point second half as Toronto rallied to win on the road. Chris Bosh had his ninth straight 20-point game of the season, pouring in 21 to lead the Raptors while Andrea Bargnani added 19 for Toronto, which improved to 5-4 the win.
